The Supreme Court has recently pronounced a judgment which ostensibly settles the law on the proposition: “Whether the power of the High Court or the Court of Session to grant anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the CrPC could be exercised with respect to an FIR registered outside the territorial jurisdiction of the said Court?”

Legal advice given by solicitor general to central government exempt from rti act
The Delhi High Court recently held that the legal advice given by the Solicitor General of India to the Government of India and other government departments is exempt from disclosure as per Section 8(1)(e) of the Right to Information Act of 2005 (RTI Act) [Union of India and Anr v Subhash Chandra Agrawal].
